Information for Campers

Welcome to Meg Swansen's Knitting Camps and Retreats 2023

Session Information: Scroll to your session to open and print the acceptance letter and participant list for your camp/retreat.

Payment: To complete your registration, print and send in the invoice and proof of vaccination with your check. You may also email michelle@schoolhousepress.com with proof of vaccination. Full payment is due on acceptance. *Call us at 715-884-2799 if you need to make alternate payment arrangements or pay with a credit card. Note: A 3.5% fee will be assessed if using a credit card.

Camp/Retreat 1 & 2 - July 6-10 (Thursday - Monday), 2023

Optional Homework for any session: It is optional to begin work on a mini-sweater prior to attending camp; if you wish to do so, the handouts below may be printed. Start on one of the sweaters below and come to camp to explore the techniques involved in finishing the sweater. Otherwise, small project handouts will be available at Camp.

Each year campers decide if they wish to hold a raffle to raise money for the scholarship fund. Knitters may bring an item to donate (knitting related, craft items, or other) to the raffle.

2023 Retreat 3 Topic: Ocean Contest

The Knitting Contest is an event that has been a source of amusement at Retreats 2.75 and 3 for many years. The contest topic is open to your interpretation. Knitted entries may be comical, serious, or anything in between. It is optional for retreat participants to knit an entry in advance and describe their entries on the final class day. The top entries will receive a prize from one of many prize providers, including woolen mills, publishers, and other knitting related businesses.

Note: Camp/Retreat 1 & 2 will have a lottery for door prizes.
