Stories in Stitches
Debbie Zawinski, author of the beloved In the Footsteps of Sheep, has released her new book Stories in Stiches with collected life and travel tales, photos, and knitting designs.
Join Debbie as she reminisces about her childhood playing in the streets of Cardiff, traveling through Nepal and India, exploring Iron Age culture and a ruined castle, creating a giant sock as a communal knit for charity, and more. Each story is interwoven with photographs and inviting, original knitting projects.
Known for her love of socks, there are plenty of them here, including a beautiful feather and fan lacework design (the Cliffhanger Socks) and a bold cable design (the Mahananda Express Socks).
There is also a collection of fingerless gloves (wristies), inspired by nature, attractive, inventive, and fun to knit and wear. Plus, knit a cute purse, a baby jumper, cabled hat, cowls, and other small projects.
Debbie’s stories and designs are always delightful and filled with the joy found in the every day and in adventure!
